I DID!!!!!!!!! 20 miles south of Nephi, UT. I have been so flippin busy for the last 4 weeks that I guess my wheel studs just had enough. The back of the truck dropped and both wheels when rolling past me at about 65 mph. One wheel crossed the median, heading directly toward an on coming car. Luckily the driver of the car noticed at the last minute and avoided my wheel.

Did the lug nuts come off or did the studs break?

That could not have been a good feeling when it happened. Did you change you britches before the police got there? Laughing

The lugs just sheared right off, flush with the hub. Its just too much work for a 3500. My rear axle scaled at 10k lbs.

Glad you walked away from that one, could have been much worse. Thought you would break an axle before shearing the lugs off. Our 1tons are amazing trucks, but we all know we are asking them to do a lot more than they were designed for. Sooner or later we push them too far.

If I can get the bank to finance a good used truck I am going up in class, Medium duty or larger with a sleeper.

Think what could have happened, on a tricky stretch of road, with more traffic.

Any luck on getting your Medium Duty Phil?
