Hows it going? I was wanting to put my truck to work on the week-ends to see if this is something I might consider doing fulltime in the future. This looks like a great site with lots of info. Just wanted to say hello. Sonny S.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you learn what you need to know here. Get in here and post and ask questions.
I can say this. The hotshot nor the trailer transport business is anything you can do on a weekend. It is a full time business or go broke effort. It costs to much to start up and you need to drive a lot of miles to make it go. Sorry to disappoint but I am not the only one that will tell you this. We try to be honest and straightforward here and tell the truth.

Unfortunately, Tom is correct. There is very little part time work. When a shipper calls, you have to be ready to move. And if you think about it, most businesses aren't open on the weekends, so no loads to pick up or deliver on those days....
