Anyone running the new Duramax(LMM) with the DPF filter yet? I have read great things about the motor on various websites, though have heard guys idling them a bit too long, which in turns kicks the pcm into limp mode because the DPF is clogged/full. Just wondering what real world experience guys are having running them in commercial applications.

Have you checked out The diesel place, GM-diesel, diesel garage forums? There should be plenty of info on those 3 forums.
The LMM has to be good...it's a GM truck and there is none better as far as I am concerned. LOL

Yeah I have the LBZ in mine, hence the name...when I was getting into this a year or two ago I was an inch away from purchasing one about the time I was getting on the boards and ended getting a deal on an LLY.
I have been on some of the diesel boards reading about things and just curious about the new motors/filters. It will be awhile before I can afford to go that new. In fact it will be old by the time I get one...

Keep up the maint and treat it right and you can get way on past 500K with it. I have heard of some pushing the 1M mark.
I have 264K on my LB7 and God willing it may get that many more on it before I pass it along to someone else....maybe my soon to be 4 yr old grandson. He wants a Chevy Duramax. Grandpa and daddy have one so he wants one too. LOL

Yeah I am definitely more than content with the LBZ with the Allison 6 speed & not having to mess with/worry about that DPF filter yet. I never had an issue with the LLY last year, course I only had it a few months(Jan-Aug.) when I sold all my stuff like an idiot!
However I am getting everything back minus truck later this week. ...and there will be a long story to follow then I am sure.

I gather that you shutdown operations and sold everything. I had sold my trailer and was only transporting trailers. I had to shutdown as well. It is doubtful that I will restart.
