Dose anyone know where I can lease a 40’ Gooseneck flatbed or a 40’ enclosed car, cargo trailer?
I hate to buy a trailer and have it sit in the yard because I need a different type of trailer.
If you were going to buy a trailer what type would you get to keep you running?

I can tell you from my own personal experience that it makes more sense to go the flatbed route. I currently run a 50' easy haul car trailer with 3' extensions front and back, and I am selling it soon to go with a 53' flat. You can still haul cars, but you can also haul freight, wich gives you more options. (Wise words of advice form Gary at MH Logistics.) When I lived in Missouri and was doing this, I had it pretty much made hooked up with a couple dealers and hauling repos to the auction, but here in MN, it's a different story. That's just my opinion on trailers.

Thanks for the reply. I might be going to Oil County and work out of the back of my truck. My truck got in a wreck Friday so Monday I have to take it in and see how bad it is banged up.

See my post on this forum and "hotshot hauling forum" about the "PERFECT TRAILER" In it I describe what I did to have mine built. I did just make some more changes to it by changing the axles from 12K to 30K's and more.

But, for me it's the perfect trailer. It's been loaded 90% of the time since I had it built four months ago. Loaded last week from TX to Calif. with a good paying load, and with Gary's hep, loaded it to the East with a retun load that is paying good. When I get this off in FL., I will again be loading it right out for the West. NO REST.....oh well. The perfect trailer will depend on what you want to do with it. Mine was built at a good price by HEFTY products in Petty, Texas. Call Steve in sales.

"hotshot hauling forum" Good forum I have been posting over there. The post about my wreck is under (Miner Setback).
I read your post about the perfect trailer and it sounds like it’s paying for itself.
Thank Dean
