We have a opening for one more Independent Hotshot Owner Operator that wants to work with our dispatch service. We preffer you have a 45' lowboy trailer and are based in or around Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ or in Southern California. We are a Dispatch Service currently working with 20 Independent Owner Operators that are all based within the Western Half of the Country. Most of the Independent Hotshot Owner Operators working with us are earning between $15,000 & $20,000 a month. Unlike most companies that would have you lease on with them we don't take a percentage of your income. We get a flat weekly fee and I guarantee it's the best deal in the industry. We only like to take on one Independent Owner Operator at a time so we can give them the attention needed to produce a good income. New to the business, no problem! We've helped a lot of new guys get started.

No Bull, No Games, And No Shady Lease Agreements!

If anyones interested you can call Gary at 760-868-4932

Having got started with M&H, I would recommend them to anyone wanting to stay busy. My circumstances at home interfered with our 'agreement' so am now on my own but Gary and crew is the best deal out there for anyone that doesn't want to be out totally on their own. Very Happy

Gary, I don't run out West much. I have a question concerning the 45' Lowboy. With a Dually and a goose neck you are limited to 65' in most of the states I haul in and my home state of MI. I heard Vegas max got busted in CA for I think the bridge issue. He had to shorten his 45' trailer to get legal.

Are your guys removing the PU beds and running 5th wheels, or don't you have to worry about the 65' total length rule out west. My 40' GN and dually Crew cab was about 65' 2", Dot never measured it.

Brian

an extra 5 foot can make you more than you might think.

Several States have a 65' rule but they rarely ever enforce it. The reason is when your running on a federally maintained hwy Federal law superceeds State law.  Federal law also allows exiting the hwy for fuel, lodging, and local pickups and deliveries. The only place you can really get in trouble is on certain roads (mostly twisty mtn roads) but also some state hwy's. These roads are commonly marked or in your Motor Carrier Road Atlas as restricted routes. Out west here they just don't enforce it except for on a few roads. We don't get any freight out of these areas anyways.

Most of our guys are set up as tractor trailers now anyways. This is done by removing the bed or having a cab n chassis truck. That allows us to be as long as the big trucks you see on the road. With a bed on the truck we are considered a truck trailer combination.

Vegas max was over bridge, thats the measurment between the center of the rear axle and the fifth wheel pin or goose neck ball. He just needed to have his neck shortened a few inch's.

As far as the 2 " your over with your truck trailer combination, I wouldn't worry about it. No one will probably ever measure it.

None of our guys have ever been hassled for being over 65' and they've been inspected by the DOT and have rolled through scale houses all over the country.

During the last 9 months I had the bigger trailer with the dually nobody measured it, but i had no inspections, couple of log checks that was it. The beging of this month I switched to the Volvo so I don't have any length issues any more. I also stayed out of Florida, I remember all the greif they gave Dennis down there.

That extra 5' could make the difference for an extra load, you could get 3 cars on, orf an extra LTL.

I've been following your conversation on the forum here about rebuilding the neck of your trailer. More deck space with a hydrualic tail should be a real money maker. If you can get that done while it's slow you should do it. 10 or 11 feet up there should really increase your profit.
