Just surfing the net for med. duty sleepers and stumbled across this. except for the boil like windows it seems to be in there for dot sleeper compliance. didn't check the price if it was even there, but for what it is how bad could it be?  http://www.crewcabsleeper.com/  not sure how to do the link thing, so hope you can get there with that.

If you look at the FAQ section on the website it says it is not compliant although some DOT offices say it is. Only one has provided documentation. It looks OK to me. It would be better than sleeping in a truck without it even though you have to just log off duty for 10 hours. It would do in place of hotels everynight and save some money there.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab. I am planning on putting a platform and Mattress in where the back seat is. I can have plenty of height and 31" of width for the mattress, but the length would only be 67". Pennsylvannia seems to be getting tougher about sleeping in the truck than they used to be. I spoke with the officer who was out today to do my Safety Audit and he said that he would just look at it and say you could sleep there but he is sure some officers may brake out their tape measure and check (He didn't think it was real likely). Does anyone know anything about this. The only idea I have for getting more length would be to have a sheet metal shell made to replace the doors, but am not sure how to go about it. Any and all thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
