Artic Diesel

When I first saw this( http://www.arcticdiesel.com/product/gold.aspx ) on a pump up here in MN., kinda thought they were trying to sell off some unused #1 fuel from the winter or something. I read the tags which states pretty much the same as the web page & went ahead a filled the tank up. Not sure if the fuel mileage went up yet as I have not topped off the tank, but the fuel looks pure and clean, unlike some of the stuff I have seen going through the lines @ major truck stops.

The cost at the station I filled at was .06 higher than the bio they were selling in all the other pumps....Anyone else tried this? From the miles I ran on two lane highways this afternoon and where the fuel gauge is I am hoping to pick up a little, but could just be a glitch in the GM gauge as well...

The pump I filled at stated that the cetane level was a min. 47 and they were trying to average 50. Cool

Never heard of it. Is it an additive to the fuel at the pump?

No additives needed....they are mixing/blending it differently before putting it into the tank underground. Can't wait to check the mileage, but not going to be a very good test as this afternoon was ALL two lane stuff through every small town on 12 West going out of Minneapolis.

I think the fuel mileage improved with this formulation, I can't be sure as this tank covered the unloading of a couple pieces. The truck did seem to run a little better and this fuel definitely performs better than the bio stuff I have had to use from the major truck stops.

Guess what I am really saying is that I would buy it again even with the $.06 upcharge vs. ULSD or bio the next time I run across stations that stock it.

I was just reading the website and the stuff the fuel stop had where I was at was the Gold Plus... which explains the higher cetane levels...
