CVSA Brake check BlitzYou bigshots with air brakes, watch out...CVSA schedules nationwide brake blitz for Aug. 26-Sept. 1 The same people who organize the annual Road Check inspection blitz say there’s another round of road-side inspections coming up next week – and that this time, the focus will be on brakes. A press release from the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance is calling it “Brake Safety Week” and states there will be a combination of enforcement and educational activities. CVSA initiated Brake Safety Week in 2005 as part of its Operation Air Brake campaign. “More than 3 million roadside commercial vehicle inspections are conducted annually throughout North America, and by far brakes make up the largest percentage of out-of-service violations cited during these inspections,” said CVSA Executive Director Stephen F.
