The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) have announced research will be performed on 200 CMV drivers from several trucking firms to investigate “risk” factors for low back pain. FMCSA estimates truckers are 50% to 75% more likely to have low back disorders than the general population.
