Febraury Off To A Slow StartJanuary wasn't to bad, we managed to keep everyone that works with us moving. No one made a killin but the pay was fair. The first two days of February and there's not a decent piece of freight to be had. Hopefully it wont last long. I've said it all along the end of Febraury or the begining of March is when the freight will really start moving again. Until then hang in there everyone.

Update,
February has been tuff but I've had a few trucks that pulled in some good money. One did quite well actually. He was out for 2 weeks.
Ran approx 5200 miles and made around $12,000.00. $2.30 per mile, not to shaby.

I'm sure most of you have read Phil's postings on this forum. He's a new Owner Operator just getting started out of Phoenix. Anyways I just thought I'd let you all know what good job he's been doing. We loaded Phil out of Phoenix with a 2 drop load heading to Idaho Falls, ID and Jackson, WY. After he delivered that we loaded him out of Salt Lake City, UT with 3 picks/3 drops into Stockton, Santa Clara, and Martinez, CA. Then we reloaded him with 3 vehicles heading to Bellevue, WA. He unloaded that today. He just picked up a piece of freight going to Hayward, CA . He has to be there Monday to deliver it. Great first week!
Anyways I just wanted to let you all know what a good job Phil has been doing with us. Phil's had a great attitude and says he'll go anywhere as long as we can keep him rolling. The pays fair, not great! Keep in mind though this is February, freights scarce and most trucks are sitting with nothing to do. I can see right now Phil will be one of the top earners this year if he keeps up at this pace.

Thanks for the kind words Gary. Let me tell you guys something, Gary is a great guy to work for! HE TELLS IT LIKE IT IS! That is very important in my book. I almost got tangled up with the wrong person in the beginning and I am very thankful that I came across Garys phone number before I signed on with that other guy. If your thinking about Hotshot'n for a living call Gary, unless you want somebody to sugar coat every thing for you, and tell you everything is going to be ok. Somebody that wont tell you EVERYTHING that needs to be done to do this legally. I have gotten called into two scale houses, one in Wyoming, and one in Washington, coasted right through, because I had everything I needed. Thanks Gary!
