Gasoline pump prices jumped 18 cents in the past two weeks to $2.79 a gallon, the highest since September, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her latest filling-station survey released Sunday.
Lundberg cited reduced refining capacity due to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, Bloomberg reported.
Lundberg surveys 7,000 filling stations nationwide twice a month.
The highest price for self-serve regular was $3.30 a gallon, in San Francisco. The lowest was in Charleston, S.C., at $2.54.
