MOTOR CARRIER ISSUES!So I went to Motor Carrier yesterday and they tell me that my paperwork has not even been looked at yet because they are really far behind. Then the lady tells me that if everything is not perfect they will just put it all in an envelope and mail it back to me, then I get to start all over. She couldnt give me a date for when they will get to my paperwork. I tried to get a temporary tag to get running and she told me no, They have to get to my file first. I thought that the insurance was going to be the tough part, I didnt expect any problems from the MC. Oh well, still pluggin.

GUESS WHATI just got a call from Motor Carrier, they can not find my file from the first time I was there on Jan 2nd to apply for my apportioned plates. This is just not going to be fun. If I have to fill out another app. That will be two weeks waisted.

After thinking about this, I have a question. What are the drawbacks of just going to Motor Carrier and picking up my paper work and getting regular commercial plates in an hour and running like that? Or is it worth it to just be patient and wait it out?

If you have the paperwork filled out and in hand? I would've just made an appointment and went in . Thats the way I do it? Thats the way it works here in California and I always get a temperary to run on. Not really sure if you can do it that way in AZ or not?

UPDATEI called Motor Carrier today, they still have not gotten to my file! FYI for anybody that is involved in the same process that I am right now. THERE ARE THIRD PARTY AGENCIES THAT DO NEW MOTOR CARRIER ACCOUNTS! I dont have much info right now, but I do have an appointment for tomorrow.
I know this much, I will have my plates in hand in 5-10 DAYS! It will cost an extra $340.00 on top of Motor Carrier fees. I will post more when I know more.
