The Great American Truck Show[ GAT'S ] was a blast. Cody and I had a great time, we walked and walked and looked and looked. There was a lot to see. We saw Bill Mack, The Chrome Shop Mafia guys, from the show Trick My Truck. We saw a lot of nice new trucks, and a lot of show trucks. Had I known, I would have taken the camera. I think Cody was floored at the amount of giveaways that we took home, lots of stuff. For the folks that have never been to this show, it is a must see. This was my first time to go, and I will go back next year.

Stroker I see they have a big vendor list. Did you see much stuff that could be used on 1tons, or where there any trucking companies that were looking for LTL haulers ( aka HOTSHOT units)? Is it worth the small truck guy's time to go?

Its a Must.
I went the first two years. I loved it.
If you can get into the seminars they are really informational.
The new tech. is interesting.
The Big Show Trucks are beautiful and they have next years (big truck) models on display. (make you want to go in debt).
Its a gotta go see at least once.

The shows are geared towards the big boys, but you do see some stuff that you could use for the one tons. My insurance is due up this month, I was able to get quotes from some of the insurance vendors. I think for me it was worth it, I was able to get up close to the equipment, and take a look around to see if there was a way to make some of the stuff work in my application. The side box vendors were helpful, willing to make smaller boxes to fit my application, talk to a few tarp mfg, about light weight tarps. Plenty of tie down gear to look at. As with any show, you have all the latest and greatest cleaners, polish compounds, and always the next great thing since slice bread stuff. The one thing I noticed was Ford, they were at the show with a F450, but no other Mfg was there with light duty trucks. The only people I saw that would be looking for Hotshot trucks, was Jones truck lines, also a company called DFW Works, they were the only two companies I noticed, but I'm sure they were other companies there. Like I say, for me it was worth the trip, and I would go again.
