Apr 22nd, 2006 - 7:39 AM Re: Fuel

All the big truckstops post there fuel prices for each State on there websites. I keep there websites in my favorites. So far they've been pretty accurate. Before I book anything for my truck I look at the fuel prices along the route to see how much the run is going to cost me. And it never hurts to ask for more money before you book a load. I work my calculater all day long when other brokers offer me freight and if the freight rate isn't where I need it to be, I tell them politley I can't do the run unless the rate comes up. There's a few brokers that realize the fuel prices determine what we can move our trucks for. The way the fuels rising in CA, NY and FL allready it doesn't look good for any of us. We really have to plan ahead and make sure we don't get into a area where we have to deadhead out of.

Apr 26th, 2006 - 6:10 AM Re: Fuel

Southern California fuel prices have really jumped in the last week. I'm seeing desiel at the local gas stations including the truckstops for $3.40 to $3.70 per gallon. I take back what I said about the truckstop websites being pretty accurate. I checked the Pilot website today for Southern California Fuel prices and they are way off.

Before anyone takes a load out west make sure you figure the fuel prices.

Lets see, this pill is supposed to increase my milage by 25% yet, they cost 75.00 per bottle. Seems like by the time you average it out you don't really save alot.

I think biodiesel or a wvo mix is the best route.

May 8th, 2006 - 5:38 PM Re: Fuel

We added some lucas injector cleaner to the tank the other day and we seen the fuel mileage go up 3 miles to the gallon in our Dodge. We just happen to find half a bottle in the shed. In the old days we would pour a bottle of automatic transmission fluid in each saddle tank once every 3 months to keep the injectors clean. We used 2 quarts to treat 250 gallons. It worked great. I'm not sure if it would cause any problems in these new computerized engines?

Gary,

I can save you some trouble with the injector cleaner.
It will in time cause proplems with the newer trucks we had a couple of hands putting the stuff in alot i mean by the tank almost. It did boost the mileage in a one ton 4 dr 4wd dualy to almot 28 mi/gal but with time the truck started runing like crap ie. injector problems, computer problems even had to have the tank cleaned from some kind of funky build up so be careful I think a guy could use some in moderation but some peoples idea of moderation is different than others...

I run diesel kleen, half a small bottle(gray), every trip out which is about 5-7k. It keeps the water out and injectors clean.

I have a diesel jetta that I have run the same thing through for over a year now and has caused NO problems. They use the bosch pump as well, never had a lick of problems with it or the injectors.

However, its like he said, if used in moderation you shouldn't have any problems but everyones views are different as to what moderation is.

I to used to put a little ATF in my fuel tank to help out the old Fuel Pumps. But I would not do it today, If you get stopped at the Scales or Port of Entry of CA. or AZ and your fuel tanks get dipped and they show any thing but CLEAR FUEL get ready for a real Large Fine, The Brochure that they gave me states red Dye and Blueish colored fuel OR anything Other Than CLEAR Fuel. I was getting my fuel, when I was ticketed, at a large Fueling and Repair center at the time and it seems that they were dumping there Oil from oil changes into the Fuel Tanks as a way to get rid of it. I was lucky, I did spend a lot of time, in Court fighting it and finally won ,but only because I had receipts showing that I had bought ALL of my fuel from them. I have been dipped at, Cajon Pass, Yuma, Oregon, and Nevada, Last time I was dipped, I was pulled in at the Port of Entry of AZ,Yuma-to get dipped only as Prepass Authorited me to proceed.
Hope this saves any of you some headaches. Mike Rodriguez.

I will consider using this stuff AFTER several have run their engines for a few hundred thousand miles to test it. Additives can play hell with fuel systems, especially diesels. GM will void the warranty if it is not an approved additive.

where do u come up with this stuff. take my product put it in a clean glass jar and watch for your self. Once in gas or diesel it desloves. do the test your self in a glass jar and see what is left. it causes a chemical reaction. and yes just like lucas use to much and u cause harm to your system! i have used additives in both and gas and diesel for years and have never had problems but again i follow the amount they say to use. look at the people using this. if it caused problems it would not be doing as well as is it. go to my website read the iso reports. the epa report. read the testimonies of these other people and see what this stuff dose. it has been around for over 11 years just not in the usa. www.fuelsaverdoc.mybpbiz.com

May 10th, 2006 - 7:54 PM Re: Fuel

I dont just come up with stuff like that. I worked for Halliburton for 10 years the products they make is only to treat oil and gas wells. We did alot of wells where we would pump thousands and thousands of gallons of diesel at a time we could not use over the counter chem. to treat the fuel cause it would leave to much crap left over and yes the pill and the powder was one of them. Take a good look at the stuff that is in it and tell me how many you think are there to actually treat the fuel. Not trying to be an a$$ it is just the salesman deal gets a little old. If we all bought everything everytime someone said it worked look at what this guy said, we would all be out of business quick. One more thing, have you done the math on this stuff do you relize it actually adds .12 per/gal. to your fuel cost.(if you get 30 gal. when you fill up) that is not counting the first two tanks you use it where you double the pills. Sorry man I dont have the energy to do the math and see how much my fuel mileage has to go up to make that worth it. But I do know I will not raise the price of fuel myself that is just crazy....

I read here, post seldomly. But, this fuel pill biz warrants warning to would be customers.

I was offered a "dealership" in this stuff, but am not swayed by marketing hype. The numerous studies touted are anonymous. The company will not give a correct lab name, report number, or chemist's name that performed the test. Sorry, I don't believe first name only web testimonials as to the benefits.

A quick search of the net will bring numerous reputable sites debunking BioPerformance & FFI, the two leading MLM's in this scheme.

Here's just one article that details the labs name, the head chemist, & test parameters. Ya'll decide for yourself. If you're looking for a marketing scheme, it may not be bad. But don't expect greatly increased fuel savings...

Remember the man on the world renown TV Show called, SURVIVOR "THE
AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK" who fell into a fire and had to be rescued by a
helicopter? Mike Skupin is his name! Well, Mike is in BioPerformance, and
very close to being a Sr. Vice President!!!! Read below a letter from Mike
of his response to the negative news report from the Orlando, FL about
BioPerformance.

BioPerformance takes money from the pockets of the oil- rich companies by
giving Americans up to 25% or more savings on their fuel consumption and
puts the money back into the hands of the American people where it
belongs!!!! The rich oil companies are mad--- and WE ARE GLAD!!!

Mike Skupin>>>>> www.mikeskupin.com

You'll remember Mike "Scoop" Skupin from CBS's hit reality show SURVIVOR
"THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK". This popular show became the most watched show in
the history of television. Mike is best known for killing a wild boar with
his bare hands so his tribe could eat and also was the guy who was headed
for the winning circle when he tragically passed out into a fire and was
medi-vaced by helicopter to the hospital. 5 different burn surgeons told
Mike he'd have to have skin graft surgery to repair his hands. After 10 days
in the intensive care unit, as Mike was being wheeled to surgery, the chief
of surgery removed his bandages and said "I've been the Chief of Surgery in
the number one burn center in Australia for 35 years and what's happened to
your hands in medically in explainable.

Mike's story is incredibly inspirational about how his hands were
miraculously healed and life's lessons he learned in the Outback. Mike talks
about how stripped of everything familiar to him including food, shelter,
electronics, cell phones, pagers, family and friends, he was able to see so
much more clearly the life he was missing out on.

His popularity has only increased since the show aired in 2001 as his
"post-survivor" events have landed him in the national headlines on seven
different occasions from being asked by George W. Bush to run for US Senate
and a plane crash to an escape from a burning building and being voted as
the 23rd most memorable moment in the history of television..

Mike and family suffered the loss of his father to cancer when he was only
four. But with the support of a wonderful mother and God's blessing, he was
successful in school and sports from an early age. His career has consisted
of being the top sales man, sales manager and district manager for 3M
corporation, surgical and operating room equipment sales, and serving as a
water-ski instructor. Michael co-founded a software publishing and
distribution company called Rhinosoft Interactive in 1992 where he currently
serves as president. Through creative distribution and downloads, his
company has produced over 35 million CD's.

Mike has spoken to over 1200 times to over 5 million people at live events
and over one billion people through television, radio and print media. He
speaks all over the world at schools, churches, camps, corporate events,
stadium events and has made a lifetime commitment to sharing motivational
and inspirational messages. Mike has several messages including; Breaking
the "I Can't" Attitude, "How To Motivated in an Unmotivated World",
"Leadership & What makes Great Leaders" "Several Customized Sales Training
Programs", "How to Have a Real Relationship with Your Wife and Kids",
"Destructive Behaviors and How to Avoid them Permanently"

Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, Skupin currently lives in White
Lake, Michigan with his wife Karen and their 7 children. Michael (17), Kalyn
(15), Brandon (10), Emily ( , Jaclyn (7), Leo (4) and Kristy (1).

Subject: Please Read this about the Orlando News Story, Opinion from Mike
Skupin, AWESOME!!!

Mike Skupin wrote:

Regarding the Orlando News story about Bioperformance.......

Rest assured it's pure, grade A, BUNK !

Here are the reasons that you have not seen the last of them, this will not
alter our destiny in any way.

First of all...think about this.......
When did the liberal media all of a sudden become credible??
When did they start caring about the truth or integrity over a story and
being first to air with it??
If the FTC started making them accountable for what they reported.....things
would be much different but they don't so they aren't !!

1.) Michelle Meredith is the beat reporter that has a reputation in her
area for stirring up trouble (not too hard to believe when you see her in
action). She is not after the truth, just after a story. Her "facts" are
nothing but opinions created and sensationalized to keep her on the payroll.
Hey...she's gotta eat

2.) Her test of the product was not in accordance to the
directions...the ratios of product were off considerably.....the driving
conditions were not real and the lab was not certified, accredited or valid
in any way. He even said..."We dumped a whole bunch of pills into the
tank"......we all know ratios are important when achieving optimal results
with this product. Too much or too little can actually decrease mileage.

3.) She claims she had the products tested and that they were mothballs
with coloring and even showed a graph to support her "claims"...seemed
pretty valid didn't it? What they forgot to mention and its something we
should all be aware of.....our product is made up of 3 enzymes and a
catalyst. Remember back in chemistry 101. You can't reverse engineer an
enzyme (Google it if you have more questions) ...this alone completely
invalidates her entire story.....in other words...she lied. Our product has
been the goto product for saving gas for 18 years !! It's been virtually
competition free because IT SIMPLY CANNOT BE COPIED! Or reverse engineered
to find out what's in it.

4.) She further claimed that mothballs were used in the 60's to save $$
on gas.....again....not true. Drag racing enthusiasts attempted to use moth
balls to increase the octane or horsepower of the vehicles to win races but
it was quickly discovered to wreck engines so the use of it was stopped
immediately. It never had anything to do with gas mileage.....yet another
misrepresentation.....she's on a roll.

5.) What she also didn't tell you (like you'll be surprised) was that
Lowell and Ernie agreed to an interview with them if they would sign a
disclosure agreeing to not edit, twist or sensationalize it. They simply
asked her to air the interview in its entirety....in other words, report the
truth. They declined...I'll bet you are not surprised. Unfortunately, the
truth is not always as exciting and they know that.

6.) They showed the meeting and a bunch of excited people and tried to
make you believe it was structured like a religious revival meeting. That
could not be farther from the truth again. Although Lowell and others may
have a strong faith...it is kept very separate.....and the excited
people....wouldn't you if you became financially independent, quit your job
and started living the life you've always dreamed of. A ground floor
opportunity like this one offers that potential for all of us.

She showed Lowell and others not wanting to talk to her.....Lowell is smart
enough not to get trapped, misquoted, mis-edited, misrepresented, etc. I'm
thankful he's intelligent enough to get as far away from people like
her......we are with the right company. We will release this to the media
and the world on our terms, our way....the right way.

We're not the first company she has falsely ripped on the air and we wont be
the last....fortunately.....people do know the media has very little
integrity, is not credible and if we lived our lives based on what they
reported we'd all be in real trouble.

Remember the movie "Super-Size Me"......when people watched in, they stopped
eating fast food altogether for a week at best...guess what? Sales are now
at an all-time high.....this will not affect BP or your success in any
unless you let it.

We've even discovered one of our two complaints to the Texas Better Business
Bureau were from a guy who works at the competition.....mmmmmm makes you
wonder where some of this stuff comes from.

Good Morning America aired nationally a similar report about an "almost"
competitor of ours that came into the market a couple months ago.....again,
their data was shotty, their test was not according to the product specs and
they made similar claims. I heard about it for 2-3 days and then like
everything else it went away......we have data, studies and testimonies to
support EVERYTHING we claim.

Know this.........

Whatever test any beat reporter may do will never be compared to the data,
studies, testimonies and test results that we have.

ISO 9000 is the most thorough testing agency on the planet outside of
medical products. ISO 9000 studies are performed on product going onto
automobiles, airplanes, space shuttles, etc. They not only verify corporate
stability but they test the manufacturing process and the product claims.
We passed excellently in ALL areas. There are also several additional
independent tests that supported ISO 9000 findings. We have ISO 9000 tests
from 1989, 1995 and 2006. NOBODY ELSE HAS THAT......NOBODY EVER WILL.

All you have to do is read the studies from ISO 9000, independent auto-labs,
etc and you will see facts, not opinion.

Flat out...our product works.......
Any car, any time
Foreign or domestic
Car or truck
Gas or diesel
New or old
Large or small

My Ford Excursion...the largest, gas sucking vehicle on the planet went from
13.2 mpg to 19.1 mpg......that's results !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't let the Negative Nelly's of this world keep you from the life you've
always dreamed of living. Bioperformance not only manufactures an awesome
product but has already changed the lives of hundreds of people
and......we're just getting started !!!!!

Remember too...this won't be the last time somebody is going to take shots
at us.....it's just the last time we're going to believe them.

I believe I'm going to be one of those millionaires Lowell keeps talking
about.....why not you?

BY ~au&i ve been accused of inconsistency ~~~ 2 Some industry suppliers and potential
advertisers have gone so far as to call it
favoritism, or worse.
Why? Because before writing about some
products that claim to dramatically improve
fuel mileage, I insist on seeing verifiable,
independent testing done by independent
testing facilities. Yet, I write about other mpgimproving
products without insisting on those
tests.
The Society of Automotive Engineers and
the Technology & Maintenance Council
jointly developed recommended practices
that objectively eliminate all variables - such
as weather, speed, terrain, drivers' skills and
practices, etc. - leaving the item under test
as the only variable. There are ways to test
items that immediately make a difference and
test procedures for items that need long-term
break-in or conditioning, such as oil treatments
or slow acting system cleaners.
There are two credible tests designed by
SAEflMC to evaluate products. One is for
products that can be moved from truck to
truck. The other test is for products that are
truck specific. Both tests are accurate within
plus or minus 1 percent.
Suppliers resist running these tests for two
reasons: The tests are extremely expensive and
sometimes suppliers know their products
won't pass. One fdl test sequence can cost
fiom $30,000 to more than $100,000. For a
small supplier earning only 5 percent on sales,
that means selling as much as $600,000 to $2
million worth of additional product, and that's
just to pay the testers. Supplier time and travel
are extra.
Another reason some suppliers avoid having
independent testing done is because they know
their claims are exaggerated and their products
don't work - at least not as well as they say
So, why do I insist that some products be
SAE/m/rC tested and others not? Because if
products apply known principles of physics to
trucking, or adapt technologies from other
modes of transport, I evaluate whether they
make sense.
Examples are some of the aerodynamic
devices made for tractors, trailers and truck
bodies. Vortex generators have long been used
on aircrafi to smooth airflow and reduce drag.
If they work on aircraft, where evethat

one-half the sidewalls from each set of

to increase fuel economy
The only question was, "by how
much?"
Unlike products based on sound
science, other products defy logic. Like
Magnets and other devices that

always amaze me. Have you ever tried
to magnetize fuel?
Here's a little experiment. Put a little
bit of diesel fuel on a dean glass or
ceramic dish. Paper will absorb the fuel,
and plastic may react with it. Now hold
a magnet near, but not touching, the
fuel. If it were magnetic, it would be

The wonderful pill that dissolves in
the fuel tank to increase fuel mileage

the sellers say, "It's a secret. We can't

tell me that big oil won't want it sold
and will conspire to keep it off the
market. Competitive advantage is far
more important to oil companies than
concerns about market size.

structure of
diesel, implying
that they cut
-.-- -- apart long chain
molecules. If
you could cut diesel molecules, it
would no longer be diesel. Shorter
molecules such as octane and heptane
are components of gasoline or gases,
not diesel. They would totally screw
up burn rates and injector timing, and
would likely damage a diesel enpe.
A dozen years ago, there was a
press conference at the Mid-America
Truckmg Show about a fuel-line device.
The gadget spliced into the fuel line.
Inside was a triangular-shaped ceramic
bar that the presenter claimed had "a
proprietary blend of noble metals that
conditioned the fuel" before it entered
the injectors.
Some noble metals, mainly platinum,
are catalysts that improve combustion.
But a catalyst - a substance that assists
a process but is not consumed by it -
must be in contact with the reaction, in
this case combustion, inside the engine.
But passing fuel over a specially shaped
substance containing who knows how
much or how little platinum? I don't
think so.
One of the most outlandish claims
was a sticker with a hologram on it.
Placed on the outside of fuel tank, "the
hologram captured the son's energy
and changed the molecular structure
of the fuel inside." Huh? What kind of
physics is that? By the way, the product
info really said "son's energy."
Controlled, turbulent airflow can
assist carburetors to mix fuel under
controlled conditions. But we don't
have carburetors any more, certainly
not in diesels. Placing a vane system
that twists the air in a diesel intake
accomplishes nothing. By the time the
air goes through the turbo, the chargeair
cooler and the intake manifold, any
turbulence has disappeared.
Chemicals, of course, are always
proprietary secret formulas, I believe in
fuel treatments for winter operations,
for water and organic control, to
improve lubricity and to'clean injectors
or keep them clean. Cleaning dirty
injectors will restore fuel economy,
but any chemicals otherwise claiming
improved mpg need to prove it to me.
Now you may better understand
that I do have a double standard about
devices and products that claim fuel
economy improvements. I readily
write about those that seem to make
sense, products based on known
science. But those that make claims
bordering on the impossible can't
expect me to accept their claims with
only testimonials. I insist on industryrecognized,
independent testing.
Those are my standards, just
for writing about products. The
manufacturers are asking you for your
hard-earned money. Shouldn't you be
at least as demanding before you part
with it? LL

Mr. Gus Romero
Vice President of BioPerformance, Inc.

Dear Mr. Mims and Mr. Romero,

Because of the recent slanderous remarks by the news media concerning our product, we would like to clear the air once and for all. We protect our product from any false accusations. We will now correct the false accusations concerning our product being made from moth balls, being toxic, hurting vehicles and not giving people any savings.

As you well know, naphthenates, naphthalenes, and other compounds from the same family are derived from hydrocarbons – aromatic substances like camphor, gasoline, petroleum, soft coal, or from the camphor tree. Naphthalenes were obtained from the tree, and then, in more recent times, from soft coal. They are combined with metals, organic components, etc., to obtain a naphthenate. We use organic naphthenates. When a naphthalene is converted into a naphthenate, we change the frequency and together with a dispersant we get a very large surface for the catalyzer to work. Catalyzers work by surface and not by mass. This is why our product is made of naphthenates, not naphthalenes. Naphthalenes are much larger crystals and are not useful for our purpose. Therefore, our product is not mothballs.

Maybe if you use naphthalene, it may work a while, but you need to have a larger surface for it to work as a catalyst. The frequency of the matter allows us to work much better in catalyzing. This transformation makes the crystals we use, when they contact the gasoline, because of the dispersants, disappear and only the molecules stay.

Also, as you can see in our Security Officer’s Material Safety Data Sheet, our product is not toxic. I know if you put a piece of carbon and a diamond under the chromatographer, they both are the same product: carbon. However, we all know, they are not the same. During the 50 years of testing to get our product working by many people, we have never had any trouble with vehicles, as the product completely dissolves in the combustible, and thus becomes part of it. However, if the gas or diesel tanks have too many impurities, the gas lines and filters may clog. The product takes about 8 hours to act at 100% dissolving skims, incrustation of HC existing in tanks, tubes, pumps and injection systems, cleaning them as time goes by, depending upon the thickness of such incrustations. It does not harm the combustion system in any way according to our ISO 9000 Lab Tests.

By now, from the many testimonies you have (these are the real field tests) and we also have many testimonies, you know that you can get a hefty savings at the pump. This will depend on driving conditions, car maintenance, etc… and in the long run you will find your motor runs cooler, makes less noise, and will generally perform better. The product comes in different colors because we are dealing with enzymes. The reaction of the enzymes may vary and therefore the color. It works just the same no matter what color it is! Because of the increase of the feeling of extra power using our product, it can cause some people to accelerate more, which causes a negative effect on fuel economy. Simply stated from our certified ISO 9000 tests, you can save up to 25% or more on fuel with optimal driving conditions.

CONCLUSIONS:
1. The additive PRODUCT is made of aromatic and aliphatic derivatives of
petroleum, which easily dissolved in the different combustibles tested (gasoline,
diesel, diafano, fuel oil), improving their combustion, increasing their efficiency
and reducing consumption.
2. The organic components of this additive caused no problems within the
combustion chamber.
3. The use of the additive in gasoline and diesel increases the production of carbon
dioxide (complete combustion) and reduces the production of carbon monoxide
(incomplete combustion), thereby reducing pollution by carbon monoxide.
4. The color of the additive does not affect the coloring of the combustibles tested.
5. The presence of molybdenum in the additive may be useful since it contains
lubricating properties.

Matthew

I don't know why you wasted some much site space on the survivor disertation. It means absolutely nothing.

For your information, your ISO 9000 certification only certifies the process you use to obtain your results, NOT THE RESULT THEMSELVES. ISO standards have nothing to do with your product doing what it says it will do.

You do not seem to get the point of what we are saying. These scams have existed for many years and still exist and until it is proven with verifiable 3rd party testing in real trucks driven by real truck drivers all your words mean nothing.

The OOIDA article says it right. If this product worked the oil companies would jump on it in a heartbeat. The oil companies are not afraid of someone having a device or pill or whatever to increase fuel mileage. They will still sell just as much as they are selling now...so if it works they would want to use the pill to provide fuel that increases fuel mileage and then they would all want it and your company would sell it and they would get rich by selling out.

Your scheme won't work here no matter what you say so why don't you go somewhere else and quit clogging up this site will propaganda.

May 14th, 2006 - 5:13 PM Re: Fuel

How could the oil companies use this. Let me think we three different octane levels of gas. do you know how much it would cost to have every gas station in american add a fourth pump and tank. look at E-85 no one wants to carrie it because u have to add another tank or drop a product u already carrie and upgrade all your seals on pumps and handles and clean tanks. no wonder oil companies do not ofer this stuff. when is the last time u saw a oil company give a **** about gas prices or about saving the american people money or finding our own oil here in the great USA. They are not!!!!! I will quite posting. but I am glad u are happy supporting the middle east and exxon and have closed minds. no of u have tried this so u will never know. and if did not work u would have a bunch of ****** of people right. but anway good and luck to u all. Texas AG Shuts Down Alleged Fuel Pill Pyramid Scheme
Irving-Based Operation Claimed Increased Gas Mileage

UPDATED: 2:33 pm CDT May 17, 2006

DALLAS -- Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott on Wednesday filed a lawsuit and obtained a temporary restraining order and asset freeze against Irving-based BioPerformance, Inc., which markets a fuel pill it claims will boost gas mileage and save consumers money.

The company is organized as an illegal pyramid scheme, according to a news release from the state.

The company's ads claim its gasoline pills and powders have a non-toxic "top secret gas pill" that can increase fuel efficiency by 30 percent or more and cut harmful emissions by up to 50 percent.

"These claims are bogus; the pill does absolutely nothing to improve gas mileage. The company is merely a smokescreen to trigger the recruitment of more and more paying members into what appears to be an illegal pyramid scheme," Abbott said.
