Where are you today? What are you doing?Sitting at the same truck stop in TX that Phil was at a few weeks ago waiting on ole Stroker to show up. It's dinner time..........
I just got back to my RV about three o'clock yesterday and was sitting in my recliner when, I looked out the window to where I keep my truck parked about a block and a half a way right on a busy highway. Must be thousands of trucks pass by there 24/7.
Anyway, it's at the North end of town, speed limit starts to slow from 65 on down to 35. No stop light at the cross street. An old man about 77 pulled off of our road and tried to cross the intersection in from of a big truck.........
He didn't make it. The big truck was actually under the 45 speed limit and was down shifting when this guy pulled in front. T-boned him in the drivers door. Tore the bed from the cab, driver condition unknown. Alive when he was taken away.
The big truck driver and co-driver are ok, shaken up. Cops and witness's said he did a great job for the conditions. By the way, it was a Swift truck.
Everyone drive safe, be aware. You never know what's going to happen. This was in my front door.
