Tatty, what kind of insurance do you have? Do you have your own authority? What kind of truck and trailer do you have? Have you researched the business? Do you have enough money to run for atleast a month without having any money coming in? You can lease on to a company and run under their authority, but I wouldnt recomend that. Talk to Gary at M&H Logistics he has a "Hotshot" start up guide that will help you greatly.
www.flatbedcarrier.com, check out his forum also!
I have researched a bit, but any additional information is always useful. We already have a portable welding business so we know how it is for the first couple months without income and we are prepared for that.
We own a one ton dually with a 30 ft gooseneck trailer. 1,000,000 liability.
We rather not lease to another company but we need to start somewhere.
Thanks for the suggestions.
