I switch 2 months ago from my cheap $60 Redline Break controller, it did a good job for 3+ YEARS. Since going over the 26k mark with my dually though, noticed it was not as efective with the 28-34k gross weight.
I switched to the Prodigy at the trailer dealer's suggestion. It really works much smoother, not as herky/jerky. It has 3 boost levels for heavier weights and breaks so much smoother. Starting out I would definitley recommend this controller. Its worth the extra 100 bucks.

Prodigy is what I use and it definitely is worth the money.
