Come on guys make some posts.

Posts seem to be down on several of the forums. Everybody is probably getting their to do lists done before the weather changes...

Hey Tom,
Been busy lately...well would you believe on a months vacation  Wink  We went from Henderson to Emporia KS to Lake of the Woods MN, to Buffalo NY, back to Axtell KS and then home. Who other than a truck driver drives 6 K miles on vacation?  Rolling Eyes
Back at tomorrow though. Got a partial into L.A. CA and load for Alamo NM for Wednesday and hopefully get something back to the house. Thursday for the long weekend.

Jerry my idea of vacation has nothing to do with driving. Wink Glad you had a good trip though!

Anybody seen Brian these days?

Jerry

I am glad you made it back home safe and apparently had a good vacation. We all need them from time to time. Like everyday.....well almost everyday.

At least I got a couple of guys to wakeup.

I am not sure where Brian is. I talked to him last month. He called me while I was in CO on vacation. He was checking to see if I had caught any fish yet. I was getting my fishing license when he called.

What can be done to generate some interest and activity in this website? Have all websites gone static or just this one?

Come on members take and interest...it will only work if you make it work.

Not sure, some us just need to keep posting. I have been super busy of late and have not been on much. Will try and keep things going a bit more.

When we meet other drivers on the road you can invite them to take a look.

Lurkers, we must have a few, join in, we were all lukers once. A new view on things would be nice to see.

Brian

It must be late Brian. Your spelling has fallen apart. "Lukers"

Ok, hows this:

I went into Mobil's Des Plaines terminal this morning to get a load of gas.  It rained so hard the road going in was flooded, nothing new.  Cept today, on the way in to get loaded, water was just below axle vent/plug.  I pulled the plugs, no water.  Now, it takes about 15 minutes to load 8000 gallons.  I was out of the terminal in 20.  The water rose over 1' in that 20 minutes.  Needless to say, I got ALOT of water in my hubs (the mechanic was already on the way, so I sat for 2 hrs waiting and then finally draining and refilling hubs) on the way out.

I think today's rain fall/flooding will break some kind of record, and if not it should.  I hope every one thats down in TX is ok and will be safe from your share of water.

Scott

I didn't know you all were getting a lot of rain up there. You likely have more coming your way.

We have gotten some rain here and it is windy today but other than that we have escaped the storm. Of course we are near 300 miles from the coast. The Houston/Galveston area is a mess.

It has been raining for 2 days in mid Michigan, expecting the real stuff on Monday. We have had a wet September so far, the air has seemed colder than normal. Feels like we might have a winter coming like I used to see as a kid back in the 60/70's. I heard that the Farmers Almanac was predicting a more severe Winter this year, and that we might be entering a severe Winter cycle, so much for Global warming.

Ike seems like its going to dump a lot of raining in many places besides TX.

Brian

Chicago got dumped on yesterday and have more coming from Ike and the cold front.

I have heard predictions of a cold and early winter. I never believe Al Gore and the other fanatics and most scientist don't either.
