I am hoping to get into this once I " retire" from my present job.

I have a class A and about 37 years behind the wheel of 18 wheelers.

At what point (Weight) are you required to stop at the weight stations, have a DOT physical, etc.

Is there enough business into and out of Flordia to produce a decent income after all those pesky expenses?

FL can be tuff getting loaded out of but it can be done. Once you get out of FL your best bet is to stay out for awhile running all over making some money before heading back in. Not much different than running a Semi ut of FL. Your going to need to pull in most weigh stations nationwide. The only state I know of that allows you to pass if your driving a pickup is California. The scale houses in California are clearly marked No Pickups!
